  2. You asked about player/GM made combat tracking systems. I made a paper based tracking system.

    There is a sheet to track combat actions and paper strips. A strip has a information about the character initiative, health etc. I organize the strips and move a character that has had it’s action phase to the bottom and reduce 10 from the initiative. That way it’s easy to track who’s up and who’s next.

  3. I developed a Shadowrun spreadsheet that calculates and tracks initiative and ranged combat. I wrote it on Macintosh Numbers for use on an iPad or iPhone. I’m told it will function as well on Microsoft Excel if converted. I still have to add additional sheets to it that calculate physical, magical, rigger and matrix combat. If you send me email contact info I will send you a copy.

  4. Just a quick reminder about how awesome the Take Aim action is: If you Take Aim and you’re using a wireless smartgun–as you were in the Ares Alpha example–you get *both* the +1 die and +1 accuracy (p. 178). Yeah, it’s pretty broken.

  5. No feed back on this episode. I haven’t made it this far yet. Just a comment in general. I just wanted to let you guys know I really enjoy this podcast. I was a gamer many years back and for many reasons I fell away from it. I finally started visiting my friendly, neighborhood gaming store here on the west side of Columbus and started looking over the Shadowrun books. I started a new job and I’m doing some mindless busy work so I downloaded your podcasts and I am blown away with your energy for this game. It’s really fueled my interest to get back into gaming. Hopefully I can find a local group to get started with soon. Thank you!

  7. I have enjoyed this podcast for a long time, but these 101 episodes have become a great resource for the players in my home game (who haven’t been playing this game for years). Thanks for all you do.
