Magic in the Shadowrun world is vast and can be complicated as such we had to split this episode into two parts. We start by covering the types of awakened characters you can portray such as the Hermetic Mage, the Shaman, the Adept, the Aspected Mage (and why you should not), and finally the cracked out Mystic Adept. We talk a bit about the different paths available to Shamans, and why everyone can use a Mentor Spirit. We cover casting spells, countering spells, how to resist them, and how to calculate your drain. We also spend a bit of time talking about the Spirits and the difference between a bound and unbound spirit and what they can do for you.

  1. You were probably already messaged this but aspected magicians at least at priority b get a rating 4 skill group which is nice if you tying to do a broader build that doesnt use other parts of a full magician… Like a troll archer alchemist who attaches spells to his arrows…
